In 2013, in the United States, approximately 10,000,000 trees were cut down and 4,000,000,000 liters of drinking water, together with nearly 1,000,000,000 liters of oil, were used to produce paper for receipts. That same year, more than 11,000,000,000 receipts were printed in the United Kingdom alone.
Today, these staggering numbers are even higher!
All this paper often does not have a long life (receipts are in many cases thrown away almost immediately) as a result of which they generate 750,000,000 kilos of waste every year! Source
It has been calculated that this paper flow annually leads to approximately 2,000,000,000 kilos of CO2 emissions… in the US alone!
Recibo wants to turn the page and offers a solution for a receipt-less world! There is no need for printing them!
